| Wrestling Returns Fri 9th April |
Professional Wrestling returns to Hayling Island in a big way in April. Some of the biggest names in Britain will battle it out in a one night tournament, tag team matches and an over the top rope rumble.
Wrestling is back at the Hayling Island Community Centre with some of Britain’s best known names and faces heading for the coast.
Scheduled to appear;
*Andy Boy Simmonz – a multi time British Champion and tag team champion, has appeared on WWE programming multiple times as well as breaking World Records on Sky One. Simmonz has appeared in the ring with former WWE champion Sheamus, Matt Hardy, and even WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon.
*Marvin Ellis – the undefeated All Counties champion, Ellis is out to carry on his domination of the Southern wrestling scene. Arrogant and brash, Ellis takes his hard hitting style to any opponent, with an incredible ring savvy. Compared by many to AJ Styles, Ellis will not give up his clean record without one heck of a fight.
*James Tighe - has endured WWE boot camps in Louisville, proved his worth against top British talent and bested TNA World Champion AJ Styles. Tighe has regularly travelled Europe and America in pursuit of top competition and has won championships around the globe. Truly a ring technician, Tighe has the track record and ability to outwrestle any opponent before him.
*Eamon O’Neil – the Irish warrior has been a hit with fans throughout his career for his variety and immaculate execution. Whether battling old school style; 8 rounds of action, or going full tilt in a smash-mouth modern war. Eamon will be hoping to find more success as he returns to Hayling Island to join his tag team partner, James Tighe.
*Bryan Clark – this 6”4’ 18st giant has torn through any and all competition since debuting. Hated by all who attend, Clark has a move-set to fear and an attitude to match. Merciless and vicious, Clark is the embodiment of monster, showing a pace and brutality that has fans fearing for his opponent’s very life.
*Ian Logan – the self styled “Idol” of British wrestling, Logan has faced top names in wrestling, from World of Sport competitors “Superstar” Mal Sanders and Steve Grey, to WWE Superstars Tyson Kidd and Katie Lea Burchill. Logan has battled any opponent, facing any challenge, holding the British championship along the way. As he leads his team into battle, can Logan’s own endless self-confidence turn to leadership and victory?
The show will see the return of the Southern Counties Trophy, held by wrestling luminaries; Steven (William) Regal, Fit Finlay and Steve Grey. The first round matches are:
Andy Boy Simmonz Vs Marvin Ellis
Joel Redman Vs PJ Jones.
Also tag team action featuring:
James Tighe and Eamon O’Neil Vs Ian Logan and Bryan Clark
The show will be topped off with an over the top rope rumble.

| "Amadeus" at The Station |
HIADS present
A play by Peter Shaffer
In old age, Salieri recalls his successful career as court composer, his hatred of Mozart, and how he plotted the brilliant young composer's demise. With obnoxious personality totally incongruous with his musical genius, Mozart dies neglected and impoverished. Now approaching his own death, Salieri accuses himself of having poisoned his immortal rival. The play is set in Vienna in 1823 and, in recall, the decade 1781-91. Sir Peter Hall writes "Amadeus is probably the most successful serious play of the last half century and is a clear-eyed celebration of Mozart and his music".
NOTE: because this is a longish play we are starting at 7.30pm.
Tickets £6. |

| Classic’s Big Day Out. |
Thousands of classic cars will hit the road on Sunday 25th April for National ‘Drive it Day’. The FBHVC (Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs) organise this day to encourage owners to drive their veteran, vintage or classic vehicles as an ongoing campaign to raise public and governmental awareness of the historic vehicle movement. This year Hayling Legends ‘Drive it’ will be finishing at The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum at Singleton just north of Chichester.
As usual we will meet at the Hayling Billy Pub about 11am with a start at 1130 to arrive at Singleton for about 1230. It would be nice to have people dressing to match the period of the transport they are in.
We will again be joining the South Hant's Vehicle Preservation Society along with other local clubs at the finish.
There is a café/restaurant on site but a mass picnic on the grass would make a pleasant option depending on the weather.
Last year nearly 50 Classic vehicles turned out from Hayling for this event with over 300 at the finish, can we beat that?
