| British Red Cross Appeal, 2-8 May 2009 |
As 2010 is now fully upon us, we are starting to plan for Red Cross Appeal Week and we really want you to be part of our activities this year, to help us to raise even more money for the British Red Cross. In Hampshire British Red Cross has raised £15,000 so far for the Haiti Earthquake Appeal.
If you are not already a regular supporter of our annual fund-raising campaign, why not get involved?
During the first week of May, thousands of British Red Cross staff, volunteers and supporters get out and about with collection buckets and organising a huge range of fund-raising events. The wide variety of events in 2009 included a sponsored wheelchair push, a garden party in the New Forest and street and store collections. If you are able to help it's up to you how much or how little time you give - an hour collecting outside one of the island's shops will help us to keep on saving lives and changing lives for vulnerable people in crisis.
If you would like to help please contact The Red Cross Centre in Elm Grove, open Monday to Friday 10 am until noon on (023) 92465544. We look forward to hearing from you.
