This is held every Thursday at the The Hayling Island Community Centre on Station Road. We are open from 10am till 12pm. Entrance fee is £2 for upto 2 children. There is a healthy snack at 11am with a story. We have tea and coffee for the adults throughout the session and soft drinks for the children. We have a baby area and many toys. Also we do a craft activity after the snack. |

hello my name is jodey agg and i lost a baby in summer of 2010.
9th - 15th October is Pregnancy, Baby & Infant Loss Awareness week - that includes all forms of child loss, from miscarriage and stillbirth, to neo-natal death (between birth and 28 days of age), right through to death due to prematurity, illnesses, accidents and SIDS, and many more.
Whether you realise it or not, EVERYONE knows someone who has lost a child, so please join In Their Memory and thousands of others across the world in lighting a candle at 7pm to remember all those babies and children who left this world too soon. Leave your candle burning bright for at least 1 hour so we can create a continual WAVE OF LIGHT ♥
I will be holding a candle lighting and balloon/lanturn release at The Plaza on eastoke corner on sat 15th october from 7pm. bring a candle to light and warp up warm. so we can remeber our babies with pride.at 730pm i will set off a lanturn with our babies names on it and release pink and blue balloons into the sky. please spread the word. thank you jodey |

| Writing The Beach |
Writer Claire Collison will be leading this safari Saturday encouraging writers, whether beginners or advanced, to be inspired by the Hayling Island landscape. You're invited to treat yourself to a day long mind-spa of creative stimulation and use Hayling's sights, sounds and stories as a springboard for your own on-the-spot writing.
Meeting at the 'Inn on the Beach' (97 Sea Front), participants will be provided with prompts and maps. From here you'll be exploring the area, hunting down word treasure and writing something brand new. Back indoors, refreshed by tea and cake at the Community Centre (Station Road), participants will be invited to share their writing for friendly constructive feedback. By the end of the day participants will leave with full notebooks, a renewed passion for writing and boosted confidence in their ability to tell a tale. Whether poet, blogger or fiction writer, from first timers to experienced, all with a love of words are welcome.
'Writing The Beach' runs from 11am until 5pm on Saturday 22 October, priced £17.50 (£12.50 concessions). Advance bookings should be made through The Spring Arts and Heritage Centre, 023 92 472700.

Hayling Musical Society invite you to a place where 'and abundance of talent is assembled for your entertainment. Scenes of laughter;Beauty;High Drama;Murder;terror. The musical play is based on the incidents relating to the east end murders which took place in 1888. Presented as a 'music hall' event we are encouraging you the audience to get involved - come dressed up and join with the fun adn fear among the characters and the whores of Whitechapel.
