Yes we have some signs of it too
The crop of tomatoes on the plants that shows no signs (yet) has been very low this year

Potato blight is rife this year. As soon as it appears on potatoes or tomatoes, cut them down and destroy them - burning is best. Never put the stems and leaves in the compost bins or heaps because the spores will overwinter and cause more trouble next year.

Can anyone identify this weed.
It grows on the bank at Chichester and has very powerful pollen.

If so, that is purple loosestrife.

Here's a tip for the mower: Some folk buy fresh blades for their rotary mowers unnecessarily and they ain't cheap. I just unbolt mine and re-sharpen them with a file and a stone. They last a lot longer that way. Oh yes, I will do yours for a modest fee but don't all shout at once.
