The news headline and copy states that Frank Pearce has been 'sacked'. Can we assume that this means that he has had his tourism portfolio withdrawn, but that he remains a Councillor, pending the results of the enquiry into the incident?

I think if you look back at the poll i conducted about the imbecile like behaviour of the pearce, you will see the views of many of my fellow islanders. I would like to hope that my poll added a little to the process of ridding ourselves of this attention seeking charlatan.

The story has been compiled from a few online sources which unfortunately contradict each other a little (one local news source even contradicts it's own previous stories). If I get a chance at the end of the day I will try to dig around a bit and flesh it out a bit more, but I think that DeepBlue's intrepation is correct.

I think LD must be dreaming, since when has 4 votes represented 'many Islanders'. Last time I went through West Town there were quite a few people or have I missed something. :roll:

sockit, you are obviously confused!! My poll had more than 4 contributers and my posting had more than 40, i repeat, 40 replies!! I believe that my original message had the desired effect, as councillor pearce, the idiot, is no more. They must have viewed my site to guage the public opinion and acted appropriately. Lets just hope his status a councillor is stripped also. Horray for Loneghan Doyle, repeat, Horray for Loneghan Doyle!! The peoples champion!!!!!!!!

Maybe Mat will comment as it clearly stated 4 at the time of me replying and as is now 6 one of which is mine. What ever gave you the idea you are the peoples champion as you are certainly not mine.

I believe that ld is referring to his topic about Frank Pearce posted on 8th February this year, under the title of "COUNCILLOR PEARCE-COMEDY GENIUS OR RAGING IMBECILE?", under "law and Order".

This topic did get 44 replies and 1103 views, but his poll only attracted 5 votes
