It was going OK until the EV agreed to spend the £6 million on repairing and replacing the sea defences last week. It will protect the shoreline but wont do anything for tourism which is a shame. I am still building the model which will demonstrate that the sediment flow wont be interupted and the headlands will not disappear but with a large chunk of the budget going to protecting rather than enhancing the job in hand has got a lot tougher!

Don't be ridiculous that is too good an idea! The council would have nothing to lie and blag more years of working to the beat of their useless drums...crikey, if they solved the problem what would the jobsworths have to do? ......So, clever engineering bloke, steady on with your good ideas matey.....and god forsake any wind or wave turbines to gather free power.......that would be ludicrous.

If anyone thinks scraping up huge amounts of shingle from the sea bed and blasting it along an ever shifting shore line is a good idea then they may need their heads testing, what a complete waste of time and what a stupid activity which can only damage the enviroment and does precious little to Hayling's defence or future!

I don't think Hayling is the best place for this kind of project but is it worth a try?.
