Mmmmmmmmm ...... I sometimes wait at the roadside a few yards away from a zebra crossing, when I can see that there are gaps in the approaching road traffic which will allow me to cross without stopping that traffic. (If I were to go and wait at the edge of the zebra crossing, some kind driver would stop to allow me to cross, causing an unnecessary hold-up for following cars.)

As a pedestrian, I regard this as due consideration for other road users. I do hope I don't look as if I'm expecting the traffic to stop.

Was driving in South London today observing the speed limit and got verbal abuse from 3 drivers because of it as they overtook me and roared off down the road...what is the matter with people !!!

My good news is I finished the second draft of my novel today.
