If there is, how do we know that it wasn't there before the horse passed by - could be just coincidence. It hasn't gone without notice that no further evidence has been forthcoming despite a request.

Perhaps the anti-horse movement are covering existing holes with dung in the hope that horses will take the blame for the state of the roads.

It is not the horses that people take humbridge to it's the selfish riders who go out on the main roads at rush hour / peak times and hold people up or go double abreast on roads.

Horses are wonderful, beautful and magnificent creatures but they belong in a nice paddock or on a racetrack somewhere.

Why would he want to stare into a hole possibly caused by horse poo?

Perhaps the steam has medicinal benefits.

Equine logic - Horses are saving the council money by filling in the potholes so they don't hurt their hooves next time they go over them - Never under estimate the mind of a Horse.

most riders are not selfish at all! unfortunately there are times when riding on the roads is unavoidable and not a decision that is taken lightly, as most drivers dont seem to understand how to pass a horse correctly.

And as for going double abreast did you ever stop to think that maybe the horse on the inside is young and nervous and the outside horse is there to get it used to being out on the roads safely??? i thought not!
