over the weekend i tried to order an electric saw from screwfix. all was going well untill the last knockings when a pop up said this item could not be delivered off shoar. so had to wait till the morning when the phone lines were manned. fair enough the operator took the order on the phone.he said it was a glitch and he would fix it. i seem to think there was a post some time back about this but i have not had this before with screwfix.so be warned.

I too have had problems with my Hayling post code being 'off shore', not with screw fix but with a seller on eBay!!

'It' seems my post code was being located on the Isle-Of-Wight

I got round this by changing my default delivery address to a post code in England, just annoying though.

If Screw-fix and some on eBay are classing Hayling in with NI the Highlands and IOW we could all have problems.

HP, I have spoken to a customer services lady from ebay regarding HI postcodes being classed as I-O-W, they are aware of the problem but seems to be proving an extremely difficult problem to rectify, apparently.

That's progress eh !!

We order quite a lot from Screwfix for the Theatre, and it always arrives OK as far as I know.

this was on line and came direct from suppliers. if you phone them up they can override the ofshore bit.

I use Screwfix fairly often and they have always delivered to me without any problems.
