I'd rather we restricted housing development and left the deer alone. I dont want 200 houses on Stoke Common (though I am sure the owners would) as that would drive the deer away.

Hello,

If you go to the car park next to St Peter's church in Northney, walk up to the top fence and scan the fields you will see them approximately 50% of the time (9 the last time I looked) - usually behind the houses on the opposite side of the field (or walk around the adjacent field footpath). There has also been a single deer in the Sandy Point reserve for 3 years but he is much harder to see.

The Hayling deer herd are regularly reported and talked about,
they were even shown on BBC South Today when the Stoke Common Land Sale was reported.

They are no more an easy target than ones in Stansted Forest,
they will keep moving!
