Beach Huts broken into 09/05/2012
Hayling Cops have just tweeted that 6 beach huts have been broken into overnight. No other info, I'm off to check ours soon.

Does anyone know which area of the Island the huts were broken into?

I think it was the ones close to the crescent as i saw 2 police cars there earlier this morning

If it is beach huts by the crescent I saw an old caravan with a small trailer pull up at about 4pm Tuesday. It drew my attention because I thought it was too old to be a travellers caravan. There were a couple inside and the man appeared to go into a beach hut that the vehicle and trailer had blocked from my view. I have never seen the vehicle by those beach huts before. The beach huts are the creosote type that got damaged/replaced after the recent mini-tornado.
As I was watching a council van drove past slowly before returning to talk to the occupants. Two minutes later the caravan left. |
