Just been looking at the Northney Farm website.

It includes a map of footpath and permissive paths.

Thanks sam1 and family - it's a great website with lots of interesting local information.

Totally disagree . Since when should we only publish walks and paths that are only accessable by people on mobility scooters? sam1 has explained in the many years he has been there he has not seen a single disabled person on the paths.

Also, not everyone has or wants to buy OS maps and I think the HBC brochures are very colourful and useful.

When people go for walks in the country they need to take due care and attention be they able bodied or otherwise.

I think the point that Rose is making is that the leaflet says the root is accessible for the disabled when it is not.

I think you are misunderstanding what I've said MT.
I'm not suggesting that all.

Please look again at the leaflet.

Do you not agree that is says access is possible for mobility scooters? Having actually walked the route yesterday I can assure you that it is not accessible.

Therefore the leaflet is inaccurate and could cause a problem/accident. I don't want that on my conscience.

I have had another look at the leaflet and I agree it is a little misleading and I was too harsh with my comments (sorry), but at the end of the day, it is up to the individual to decide whether or not they should coontinue or turn back on the walk. It shouldn't be on anyones conscience if anyone slipped up on a muddy path.

good points every one thanks for the website thinkg rose i thnks its a littel out of date more of a winter job to update it. I would like to no who is behind the livabilaty money as the money could be used in more productive ways i think i no it would be nice for the disabled to be able to be ecqual in everything but i think most disabled people realise there are somethings they cant do and dont even try like walking along a country path one thing that map dose not show is the route through northwood farm which i would say 75% of walkers in northney use i no it is not a public footpath but the route has always been used and as long as no inconveniance to the farm is caused can be used for many years to come

I'd love for Graham Phillips and missus to grant me access to Tournerbury woods, just like Taffy Anthony used to - Love it to bits in there, and don't harm anything or disturb nothing.
I'd love to try grab some pics for the benefit of everyone else, spesh the Heronry (even tho' I hates 'em - fish!!)
