BMX / Skate Boarding / Roller Blading

In line with the beach and outdoor culture of the youngsters of Hayling Island, skateboarding, roller blading and BMXing, is very popular on Hayling.

Roller bladers can often been seen gliding along the seafront during the summer months. Recently, the Beachlands Office has erected a 'skate park' on the common between the Inn on the Beach and the Fair Ground, which has proved popular with skaters and skateboarders alike.

The area consists of a quarter pipe and several small ramps and humps and a rail. More importantly it is free of charge and open to all.

Located on the East side of Mengham Park, Hayling Island's original BMX track is still open and free to all. The Bicycle Motor Cross (BMX) circuit offers a rough terrain ride, small jumps and a table top ramp. Park access closest to the track is through the entrance in Selsmore Road.
