Cycling

Cycling has always been popular on Hayling Island, as a cheap and very convenient way to get around the Island. Any one place on the Island is never more that 5 miles away and the distinct lack of hills on Hayling has always been an advantage (Even the local Constabulary has taken up their bicycles during the summer months to patrol the seafront).

For those who wish to travel further afield, the surrounding countryside offers beautiful views and the occasional challenging hill in the South Downs that can be reached within an half hours cycling.

For the more athletic, there are the quarter pipe and ramps at beachlands. Trials bikers can test their skills on the sea defence rocks at West Beach
