Sailing

With it's sheltered harbours and location right on the doorstep of the Solent, Hayling Island is known World Wide for it's many Sailing events, organised by the Sailing clubs of Hayling and as part of international competitions. During the summer months, yachts can always be seen cruising in the light winds from Hayling's seafront.

With four Sailing Clubs located on the Island alone, attracting numerous visitors each year, the yachting scene is highly active on Hayling. FED weeks are a major attraction for members and the public alike. Parties go on late into the night and the sailing all day for those with the stamina.
