Ceiling cover being parachuted in!

We all know that the main hall of the Community Centre is rather cavernous, which makes it difficult to create an intimate or cosy atmosphere. The organisers of the Ale-ing Fest are very much aware of this and have in the past attempted to reduce the perceived height of the interior by hanging bunting above the table and entertainment area, in addition to the beer tent (see photo from last year). This year it is planned to suspend three parachutes above the central area, which we feel will have the desired effect and will certainly be different. We also wonder what effect it will have upon the acoustics! Best to get your tickets and come along to join the party, so that you can see the transformation!
