The Great Discover Hayling Exhibition

Come and visit the Great Discover Hayling Exhibition in the new Function Room of
the recently refurbished Newtown House Hotel. The exhibition will feature the events and discoveries of the Discover Hayling project over the past 2 years. It will include newly found photographs, maps and documents. You will see our reproduction of the original architect’s impression for the proposed Crescent development, a family portrait of the naughty Henrietta Sykes, and lots more material recording events on Hayling during the war years.

We will also feature the 60th anniversary of the Hayling Amateur Dramatic Society, with many fascinating items from the theatre’s archive; plus a display celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Red Cross, and our own branch’s role in WW2. The show will run for one week only, opening to the public on Saturday 28th February from Saturday 28th February from 2 pm to 4.30 pm, then daily from Sunday 1st March through to Thursday 5th March from 11 am to 7 pm, and then finally from 11 am to 2 pm on Friday 6th March. .

Ample parking space is available. Come and be fascinated by this overview of former
times on Hayling Island, and while you’re at it, why not enjoy a glass at the bar or a
meal in the restaurant of this fine Hayling venue?
