Children's Author To Open Hayling Carnival

Children's author Sara Starbuck will open The Hayling Island Carnival and crown the Carnival Princess and her attendants on Saturday July 7th at 1pm.
Visitors to the Carnival will then be able to meet Sara at The Hayling Island Bookshop stall on the Carnival Field where she will sign copies of her books. Her publisher Random House Children's Books have kindly donated some books as prizes for some of the events.
Sara's debut children’s book Dread Pirate Fleur & The Ruby Heart was a real page-turner with a feisty heroine and a sea-savvy partner in piracy Tom. The action packed and fast paced adventure appealed to both girls and boys. It was a brooding and brilliant from an exciting new talent and the book was chosen by the Reading Agency for the 2009 Summer Challenge.
The second book Dread Pirate Fleur & The Hangman’s Noose was published on July 1st 2010.
