Police appeal following two daytime burglaries

Police are appealing for information after two daytime burglaries in Hayling Island on Wednesday, May 23.

The first incident took place between 9 and 11am at an address in St Mary’s Road. A pane of glass in a rear door was smashed to gain entry to the address. A brown leather handbag containing £140 cash and bank cards was stolen.

The second incident was at an address on the Seafront. Just before 2pm a man dressed in black was seen running from a neighbour’s property. It is not clear what has been stolen from the address.

Anyone who may have witnessed either incident is asked to call District CID at Havant police station on 101. Mini-Com users can call the police on 01962 875000. Information can be given anonymously by calling the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
