Funlands WILL get new drop ride

Funland's plans for a 35m drop-ride at Beachlands are now back on track after a council vote on Thursday cam out 11/3 in favour of the application.




This is the second application that has been made for the ride, with the first being refused, and this gives temporary planning permission for the structure for two years.




John Hill of Funlands told us "We would like to thank all the people who have offered their support to us in the last few months,it has been very encouraging."




The ride is due to be opened in Easter 2004.
