CASINO GAMBLE

A proposal to build a casino on Hayling Island has been received by HBC planning.


A disused farm adjacent to Sinah Warren Holiday Complex is singled out for the development.


It is believed that this includes the former "Norfolk Arms" public House which has not been used for many years.




It also bounds on a Site of Special Scientific Interest. This alone would indicate that the plan is a a no no.


Also, Cllr Frank Pearce is supporting the plan. He wants to see more of this sort of development on the Island




A survey of the routes to the proposed casino would need to be made as the access, to say the least, is poor there.
