Hayling Carnival Procession Route Map & Times

The Carnival will start at 1pm and go on until dusk.
As there has been no definitive route map and time table published for the 2004 Carnival, we have decide to create one ourselves. We hope you will find it useful. The times are arbitary as the procession is subject to unforeseen delays.
Both the Police and Havant Borough Council have agreed certain road closures during the Carnival Procession period. It will be a "Rolling Road" closure which means as the procession arrives at a road, it is closed, once it has moved through a section, then that road is re-opened.
The Floats assemble in Creek Road from 5pm onwards. Then judging will take place between 6pm and 6:45pm.
Whilst all this is going on, there will be Punch & Judy - A Bouncy Castle - Inflatable Assault Course - Snakes & Ladders - Ludo -Connect - Face Painting with music all the time.
Nearby in Wheatlands Avenue, will be the baby Show and a dog show (Don't mix them up!)

NO WATER on the floats.

This year's theme "Music Music Music!"
Starting at 1pm, Brian Edwards is providing a bigger and better FunFair in the Legion field. With family rides at two for the price of one!
These bands will be playing or your enjoyment:
APNIA - A 5 piece band - Female fronted.
THESE2HANDS another 5 piece band - All male
K'JUNGA - 4 Members - Alt metal/rock band.
Of course, the evening will end with a massive display of fireworks.
