Hayling Railway makes tracks to the ferry

- Wed 4th Aug 2004

Our genial local railway owner, Bob Haddock, has big plans to extend his rails to meet the Hayling Ferry.

He expects to meet opposition , not from the normal NIMBYS but as the track will encroach upon a site of special scientific interest, from the English Nature and Hampshire Wildlife Trust.
Also, Frank Pearce he says he established the SSI at the ferry, however, we could find no evidence of that claim. He is opposing the track extension saying that his grandchildren want to see the SSI and not a train.
The track would be built in in stages:
Sinah Warren is the first.

Bob says that the new line would serve not only the ferry users but Sinah Warren - The Inn on the Beach and the Golf club customers.
