Gal Fridman won Isreal's first ever Gold Medal, second was Nikolaos Kaklamanakis (GRE) and third Nick Dempsey (GBR)

The ISAF World Sailing Rankings - Released 3 September 2004
Julien Bontemps of France stays at the top of the Men's Mistral ranking, but moving up into second place is Olympic bronze medalist, Nick Dempsey of Great Britain, and Przemek Miarczynski of Poland is now third. In the women's, Faustine Merret of France remains at the top, whilst Alessandra Sensini ITA and Natasha Sturges GBR swop places in second and third place.

International Funboard Class (IFCA) president, Bruno de Wannemaeker: " we are very pleased to introduce to the windsurfing community the first ever SLALOM World Championships at the WHITEAIR FESTIVAL 2004. The class has received a huge amount of support for its decision to focus on this discipline, and we are looking forward to this event as a launchpad for its continued development in 2005 and beyond ."
