Conservatives Hold Havant

Conservative MP, David Willetts (www.davidwilletts.org.uk) has once again held the seat of Havant in yesterday’s parliamentary elections and increased his majority with a swing of 2.7% from Labour to Conservative.
Turnover across the borough was slightly up on the last election, at over 60%. The final count was as follows:
David Willets (Conservative) 18,370 44.4% Sarah Bogle (Labour) 11,862 28.7% Alex Bentley (Liberal Democrat) 8,358 20.2% Timothy Dawes (Green) 1,006 2.4% Steve Harris (UK Independence) 998 2.4% Ian Johnson (British National Party) 562 1.4% Russell Thomas(Veritas) 195 0.5%
