The Emma Carter Appeal
- Fri 1st Jul 2005
Please we need your help, last year my niece Emma aged 13 died suddenly from genetic heart problem undiscovered since her birth, this affects about 1 in 125 babies born in the UK.
In Emma's memory we have formed a supporters group with the British Heart Foundation we are known as Hayling Island Supporters Group and we have got an appeal called The Emma Carter Appeal and we are hoping to raise a lot of money to help people with heart conditions.
We are planning a big fund-raising day on the 28th August, Dave Courtney the ex london gangster now best selling author is our celebrity and will be with us for the day on the 28th to help us raise as much money as we can for two heart failure nurses for the Hampshire area, also any heart equipment needed to help save lives.
Please could you help us by attending our fun day on the 28th August, in the British Legion field 12noon 'til 6pm.. We have had donations from many Football Clubs so we will be having a sports auction also an auction with some of the donations from the following people Silentnight, Timex, Sekonda, Crayola, Jordan, Lenny Henry, Chas & Dave, Phil Collins, The Darkness, Monkey World, Paradise Wildlife Park plus others, the more donations we can get the more people we can help and save from heart conditions
Many thanks in taking the time to read this news release. Kind Regards from Diann Bennett (British Heart Foundation liaison)
