Local spot to promote Britain
- Thu 11th Apr 2002
A photograph of Langstone Mill and the Royal Oak pub forms the front cover of the 2002 edition of
the British Tourist Authority’s main promotional publication ‘Britain’ published at the end of March...
“It’s a real coup” said Havant Borough Council’s Tourism Manager, Christine Dier, “Especially
when you think that of all the pictures of tourist spots across the country that might have been
used. In the past front covers have featured such attractions as Stonehenge, the Tower of London,
and Windsor Castle, so we’re in exalted company!
“Our area will stand out from leaflet racks in BTA offices and exhibitions they attend all over the
world. Hopefully we may see a rise in holiday enquiries from overseas visitors as a result.”
