Actions Completed.
Matters Arising
Actions on roundabouts still continuing. (Subsequently, HBC embarking on crash programme to prepare Gorron roundabout in time for Easter visit. Meeting held to approve design).
Planning
There had been discussions on the mobile phone base stations on Anne's Court, to which no planning problems were foreseen and at Tournerbury Farm. This latter was felt to be an acceptable location, if sited close to the Farm house. Proposals for development at the Kittiwake were discussed. While it was felt that proposals were thought to be the thin end of some wedge, it was agreed that the plans were acceptable.
There were a number of small items discussed but again it was felt that no action was needed.
There was a problem of a vehicle lift at the Beach Road Garage. It was understood that this would be dealt with by the normal routes.
The decision to turn down an application at Spindrift on Ferry Road mystified all who heard about it.
Community Board
There were no specific items. The public meeting would deal with this and other matters.
Public Meeting
This would cover the Eastoke Corner plans and related issues and the Lottery bid being made by HBC under the Living Landmarks scheme. It was hoped to include other related items. Final details were to be arranged, but HBC staff would make the bulk of the presentations.
Membership and Funds
PF gave a review of these. The main feature was that the funds had risen by £1K in the last year and that membership subscriptions were more forthcoming. CR commented that NEHRA had 216 members representing 280 residences.
Leigh Park Consultations
No one wished to participate in these, as it was felt that these were only of relevance to members of that community.
NEHRA
NEHRA were objecting to a house being built that was too large and out of keeping with its location.
AOB
PF announced that he had received a sketch of a sculpture for the HI gateway. This was from Vincent Gray.
Comments were made on misleading information being circulated on the distances to the local hospitals. The high cost of bus travel was also commented upon. It was noted that these matters were being reviewed under the Market Town Initiative.
