Great Classics at Hayling Billy

Our pre-launch meeting on 9th April proved an interesting event, most of us just did not realize how many interesting cars and motor bikes there are on the Island. Oldest vehicle there was a 1924 Morris Bull Nose, also there was an Austin 7, a hotrod, Ford Zephyr, Triumph Stag, Fiat sports car,  1942 Dodge army truck, Ford Capri, an immaculate Chevy, Ford Mustang, Jaguar E Type, Morris 10, 2 Jeeps, a 50’s army Ferret scout car, a 500cc Vincent and a BSA Gold Flash motor cycle.

National Drive It, Ride it Day

The FBHVC (Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs) has arranged a ‘Drive it, Ride it Day ’ on 23rd April which they hope will become an annual event, and whose purpose is to encourage owners to bring their vehicles out as an ongoing campaign to raise public awareness of the historic vehicle movement.

Legends intend to support this event by starting at the Hayling Billy Pub and drive 14 mile around the island’s main roads.  Meet Hayling Billy Pub at 11am.

Don’t forget 'Hayling Classic Transport Gathering’, on Sunday 14 May 2006 11am to 4pm  at the East Hayling Light Railway Society, static display in the car park to the east of the Funfair.
