We Can Do It !

(and we did!).

Hayling.co.uk has today been recognised with a We can do it award thanks to nominations by several site regulars.

The We can do it campaign, run by The News, calls on local people to work together to "achieve great things", the spirit of which is embodied in the running of Hayling.co.uk .

Hayling.co.uk was created by the staff at Brit-net in 1998 to provide online information about Hayling Island.  Since then, and thanks to the continued help of the sites regular users, it has developed into a thriving and lively online community and information source.

In recognition of the work that this entails, Mathew and Bruce Bennett were today awarded we can do it T-shirt.  Accepting his T-shirt, Mathew said "It's very touching for our members to nominate us for this award, and a genuine surprise to be awarded it by The News. I'm not sure that I'll be wearing it to the pub tonight though".
