- Thu 26th Oct 2006
Hayling Island Author, Pauline Rowson, has scored a major success with her popular marine mystery novels at the world’s biggest book fair in Frankfurt in October. Pauline has sold translation rights to ‘In Cold Daylight’ and her new forthcoming marine mystery thriller ‘In For The Kill’ due for publication in February 2007 to Indonesia. She also signed agreements for their distribution and that of her Inspector Andy Horton novel, ‘Tide of Death’ to Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei. Her novels are already on sale in South Africa and the Philippines.
Pauline had further interest from German and Brazilian Literary Agents and a film producer. As well as her marine mysteries, she is the author of several marketing, self-help and motivational books. These are already published across the world.
During 2006 Pauline saw her novels featured by Waterstones and to complete a great year, ‘Tide Of Death’ is also featured in the exclusive selection of Christmas books published for the whole book trade by Bertrams, the main wholesalers to the independent book trade in the UK.
Pauline said, ‘I am very pleased with the way sales are going and especially delighted with the feedback from readers. Being featured in the Christmas Books catalogue is great news, especially as I am alongside such big authors as Alexander McCall Smith, Ian Rankin and Jeffrey Archer.’
Rowson’s marine mysteries are all set in the local area. Her new novel ‘In For The Kill’ will be published in February and Pauline will be conducting a number of book signings and talks around Hampshire and the Isle of Wight next year.
