Children in need swim

To update on the event, to date we have raised £800 and would like to thank everyone who participated and those who generously gave money to this worthwhile cause. Whilst the weather was bad it really did help to make the event. A really big thanks to Sven for the video and Maytrees for the photos, they were really great. I was sitting in my bedroom enjoying a week end break in the Isle of Wight and to my surprise one of John's photos came up on South Today. I was also interviewed just prior to going down to dinner by Radio Solent, which gave me a chance to plug the evening events at the Lifeboat which I have heard was a great night. The forum seem to have really turned out in force to support the event, so a big thanks to them. Lastly a really big thanks to Hayley who as is normal, threw her self into the event whole-heartedly and raised £470 of the money raised and laid on the refreshments afterwards.

I am not sure if this is the final total yet as some have pledged without stating an amount so we will wait and see, but the amount raised so far it made the event very worthwhile. As indicated on the forum lets make it bigger and better next year and all go for it.
