Veteran Open top bus ride.
- Mon 12th Mar 2007
On Easter Sunday the Hayling Island Open-Top Bus will also be raising money for British Heart Foundation's Emma Carter Appeal .
The 1970s bus is due to become a familiar sight again on Hayling Island. The restored vehicle travels the Seafront and it is intended to support local charitable causes throughout the year.
The first run will take place in the afternoon of April 8, and the British Heart Foundation would like as many people as possible to come along for a ride along the seafront from 3pm, recalling trips of yesteryear.
The bus starts at Delia's Diner at Eastoke Corner at 1pm. After the launching ceremony at 2pm, passengers will be driven along the Seafront to Hayling Ferry, return journeys are advised!
Perhaps any resident who is participating and has a camera, would like to send said photos to news@hayling.co.uk for inclusion.
