Hayling college sports hall roof
- Thu 9th Aug 2007
Work on the Hayling colleges sports hall roof is progressing nicely and seems to be on target.
The building at the back of the grounds, dating from the late 60s, was damaged a few months back by the high winds Hayling experienced, ripping off a corner of the roof. This exposed dangerous asbestos, so the college and the county council took the opportunity to replace the whole roof.
Initial rumours about the colour of the new cladding, including reflective orange, can now be put to rest and I can confirm the college has settled on "Hayling School blue"
