Big Band to Return to Hayling
- Thu 23rd Aug 2007
The Royal Marines Association Concert Band is to return to Hayling Island. Following a sell-out performance at the Station Theatre, the band will return, by popular demand, on the afternoon of Sunday 25th November to entertain with many old favourites and a number of surprises. This talented band of professional musicians will be conducted by their Director of Music, Captain Ted Whealing, formerly of the Royal Yacht Britannia.
The concert has been arranged by a group of 4 organisations on Hayling Island and the Hayling Island Community Centre. The organisations who have got together are the Hayling Island Naval Association, the Hayling Island Horticultural Society, Save the Children and the Hayling Island Lions Club. Tickets will be £9.50 each and will be available shortly from
Reg Cottrell: 023 9246 9687
Bill Biggs: 023 9246 8789
Clare Hill: 023 9246 6782
Alan Herbage: 023 9246 9611
& from the Community Centre.
Bar facilities will be available. I'm not sure of the time as yet, but it will be on the posters. It's likely to be 3.00pm, but the Director of Music is on holiday at the moment!
It might be a while until November, but the last concert sold out within a morning of tickets being available, so don't delay in reserving yours and look forward to enjoying an afternoon of superb music.
