Highest Tide of the Year?
- Fri 28th Sep 2007
Today sees one of the highest, if not the highest, tides of the year 5.2m, or in old money 17ft 7/10ths of an inch.
Now that is a high tide.
Fortunately the weather at the moment seems kind and there is only a 15 knot wind so there should only be little or no flooding.
Though people living in the worst flood risk areas in Eastoke and Sandy Point may want to take precautions.
Lets hope the weather stays calm and we dont have any sad soggy stories posted on here.
