- Wed 31st Oct 2007
As part of an effort by the big lottery fund to widen community learning opportunities in libraries, Hayling Island Library has been selected to receive some of the grant money for re-modeling and updating.
Over £1.2m has been granted to libraries in the Hampshire county. The areas Havant, Waterlooville, Leigh Park, Hayling Island and Aldershot are set to receive the library fund.
The aim to get more people to use libraries is part of an initiative to improve education and learning in communities.
