Free parking on Hayling beach carparks

The pay machines have been temporarily removed from the HBC sea front carparks.

The warm temperatures this weekend brought good numbers of holiday makers and locals to the beach, many of whom seemed unaware that there will be no parking charges in those areas from November to February inclusive.

The 'Have you paid and Displayed' signs are still visible and some people were searching for a pay machine as they were anxious not incur penalty charges.

No official publicity appears to have been given to what could be a big plus point for visitors.
