Friends of The Billy Trail, Litter pick.
- Sat 17th Nov 2007
There was a fantastic response to Organiser Brian Cushings appeal for volunteers to help look after the Billy Trail, on Saturday (17th November 2007).
Despite the ever threatening skies,
over two dozen people of all age groups turned up at 1000AM to be greeted by Ian Livermore, Country Ranger for Hampshire County Council, Brian himself, and John Worley of the Friends of Langstone Harbour consveration group.
Everyone was issued with large sacks, gloves & litter picking tools, and all set off to collect as much litter / rubbish in the 2 hours allocated.
The area targetted was approximately 800 metres of the trail, and scrubland / shoreline, with a phenomenal result for a first effort.
Special thanks to John Worley of the Friends of Langstone Harbour for sending me the photographs.
