Police appeal for witnesses to indecent assault in Hayling Island

Police in Hayling Island are seeking witnesses to an indecent assault that happened on Havant Road on Thursday, January 10.

At about 6.30pm a 39-year-old woman was walking along the road near Mill Rythe Junior School when a man approached her from behind and touched her upper legs, indecently assaulting her.

The woman shouted at him and he ran off.

The suspect is described as:

* White
* Aged in his late teens to early twenties
* 5ft 10ins tall
* Medium build
* Wearing a royal blue light anorak with a turquoise blue hood, dark blue denim jeans and white trainers.

PC Emily Dummer said: “This was obviously a shocking and unpleasant incident for the woman and we would appeal to anyone who may have seen the incident to contact us as soon as possible.”
