Free Event with Local Author

As previously reported, Pauline Rowson's book In Cold Daylight has made it into the Top Ten for World Book Day. The BBC have now published the voting results and it turns out that her book was actually in third place out of the 100 titles in the longlist - a terrific achievement. She is now hoping to secure enough votes to win the poll for "The Book To Talk About 2008" and the £5000 prize which she will donate to the Fire Service National Benevolent Fund.

The Hayling Islands Bookshop have organised a free evening event on Tuesday 19th February at which Pauline will talk about her books and read from the shortlisted title. This event will be of interest to local Book Club members and anyone who likes a "good read".

It will be held at The URC Small Church Hall Mengham with Doors Open at 7pm for a 7.15 start.

There will be free Tea and Coffee and other refreshments will be available.
