Local firm sponsors Business in the Community

Friday 16th May was Business in The Community National Cares Day and a team of 15 volunteers from Jobsite UK Ltd in Havant led by Jackie Jones and Carrillion (Queen Alexandra Hospital and St. Mary's) led by Sue Coupland. They undertook a project to give the Hayling Sports Centre a much needed facelift outside. Doors were painted, facias and windows cleaned, lights and broken guttering replaced and surrounding gardens weeded and new shrubs planted with all materials donated by the volunteers.

The icing on the cake was a Mural commissioned by Jobsite with "Art & Soul Traders" which depicted the users of the Centre and this was hung with pride on one of the external walls.

The site was visited by a reporter from Express FM, The Hayling Island and ITV news who featured the volunteers and the Centre on their Meridian News roundup later that day.
