A Week of Free Literary Events on Hayling

Kate Mosse the best selling author, broadcaster and Co-Founder & Honorary Director of the Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction will join other locally based authors visiting The Hayling Island Bookshop in the first week of July to celebrate Independent Bookseller’s Week.
Kate’s will visit Bookshop on Friday July 4th to hold a “Writers Clinic” for invited sixth form students from the local area to discuss their own work with Kate. After the Writers Clinic, Kate will meet fans and hold a book signing.
Independent Bookseller’s Week is a national campaign organised by The Booksellers Association (BA) and will run from July 1st to the 8th to celebrate independent bookselling.
A number of other local authors have been invited to visit the Bookshop that week including saga writer Dee Williams on July 1st, crime writer Pauline Rowson on July 5th. The Bookshop is also in the process of arranging for children’s authors Ali Sparkes and Craig Simpson to hold events at local schools on Hayling during the same week.
Details and timings of Kate’s visit and the other events during that week are still being finalised will be on our website www.haylingislandbookshop.co.uk in due course. Entry to all events is free and each author’s books will be available for purchase and signing on the day.
