Police in Hayling Island are releasing images of an item of jewellery taken in a burglary that happened in Webb Lane on Thursday, May 22.
Between 2.30pm and 2.50pm, a burglar has entered the property while the owners were out.
The 52-year-old homeowner returned to his house to find that the lock on the front door had been broken and the door forced.
He discovered that a search had been made of a bedroom and that an Ipod and several items of jewellery had been stolen, including the ring pictured.
The burglar had left the house by a side door, through the rear garden and out of the garden gate, onto Mengham Avenue.
PC Emily Dummer said: “I would ask that if anyone recognises this ring, has been offered them for sale, or has any information about the burglary, to contact police as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information should contact Waterlooville police station on 0845 045 45 45 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
