Scarecrow Festival Entries Blast Past Last Year's Total

2008 Registered Scarecrow Festival entries have just shot past the total number of Scarecrows entered last year (76) - with seventeen days still left to register; we are already nearing 100 Scarecrows entered individually or as tableaux.

Organisations from every section of our community have entered so far this year with many more still to come. Once again Residents entries are from all over the Island which will mean we'll all have a very long and winding Trail to follow to "Spot The Scarecrows".

The Scarecrow Making Event in Hollow Lane was a huge success with around 100 people attending making it a sizable community gathering in its own right!

If anyone or any Organisation would like to make a Scarecrow but doesn’t have a suitable place to show it then the Organisers know and we’ll match you up with a Host and you’ll both be named in the Trail Sheet.

Don't forget the deadline is July 5th and Entry Forms are available on line at the Festival website or at the pickup points.
